Job Title: 2nd Shift Machine Operator

Fall River, MA

Pay : $19/hr

Hours 3:30pm - 12am

Job Description

You will be responsible for creating products using various materials. This involves cutting specific amounts of mold to ensure they meet the proper weight as specified in the work order. The mold will be warmed up before being installed into the molding machine or oven to carve the appropriate casting. Additionally, you will insert metal bases that the mold will cover and trace over to form the shape. Once the mold is out of the machine or oven, you will ensure its quality and use drills and hand tools to complete the casting process.

Responsibilities

• Ensure molds are cut to specific amounts and proper weights as per work order.
• Warm molds before installation into molding machines or ovens.
• Insert metal bases for molds to trace over and form the shape.
• Assess mold quality upon removal from machine or oven.
• Utilize drills and hand tools to finalize casting removal.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including using gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude
• Driven, motivated, and reliable
• Good attitude
• At least 6 months of production experience
• Experience with plastic injection molding and mold repair
• Familiarity with injection mold design and automotive repair

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Spanish speaking candidates are welcomed
• Mechanically inclined individuals with automotive backgrounds are ideal
• Proactive, hardworking, and hands-on individuals

Work Environment

The work environment is a production setting with over six molding machines, where it can get warm. The production floor is medium-sized and resembles a machine shop, fostering a collaborative atmosphere with a supportive team and management.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fall River, MA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Fall River,MA.
