Job Description

We are partnering with our client for a CFO to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $175,000 to $200,000 per year.

• Act as the company's representative in financial matters with governmental and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee and manage business support operations, including general and enterprise accounting, audits, payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting.
• Develop and implement fiscal policies, standard accounting, and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Coordinate necessary training.
• Analyze financial and budget data to assess the company's financial status.
• Plan and manage the fiscal year-end process to ensure accurate annual financial statements and reports.
• Oversee the annual external audit process, respond to audit findings, and implement necessary operational changes.

• Knowledge of state and federal accounting laws and regulations, particularly in the cannabis industry.
• Ability to analyze diverse data sources to create comprehensive plans and interpret relevant laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in using computerized information systems for analysis and reporting.
• Skilled in strategic planning and group facilitation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with integrated systems in complex organizations.
• CPA License.
