Dynamic Family Office with a Portfolio of Companies across distribution, grocery, retail and real estate investments, seeks VP Finance of CFO with 10+ years financial or accounting leadership experience, ideally with experience across two or more sectors including company profitability reporting, company investments reporting, family office or centralized financial management – with strong accounting, FP&A, cashflow, ROI accounting, forecasting and operational finance experience – to lead centralized accounting for a group of companies across manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, grocery and commercial real estate investments.

Reporting to the owner the role will work cross-functionally with Controllers, CFOs, operations, and sales teams at portfolio companies. We’re looking for someone with strong accounting acumen who can set up financial controls, processes and reporting systems for the new family office and execute monthly reporting including investor reports, develop detailed ROI and forecasting, and lead ERP system initiatives for the group - to build out the financial, operational, and people infrastructure required to support the company's long-term trajectory.

Requirements

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance, or related discipline.
• Masters in Accounting, CPA or similar is a plus.
• 10+ years accounting oversight in a VP Finance, Head of Finance or CFO role working with mixed industries - can include retail, industrial assets, distribution, manufacturing - with strong accounting discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with excellent analytical skills.
• Knowledge of MRI or other similar property management related software.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/accounting theory.
• Clear communicator with ability to interact with associates, senior leaders and external parties.
• Ability to work independently as well as with internal and external teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle a high volume of responsibilities
• A desire to be innovative and entrepreneurial when approaching projects, tasks, and interactions.
• Consistently and continuously strive to provide a high-level of internal and external professionalism.
